Se ha iniciado una campaña para luchar contra la deportación de
Alassane Moussbaou y Anani Komi Adzrakou desde Alemania a Togo. Son
activistas políticos que luchan por la democratización de Togo, y
la deportación les pondría en un grave peligro.

Release from prison and Stay of Deportation of Mr. Alassane
Moussbaou and Mr. Anani Komi Adzrakou
Dear Mr. Timm,
Mr. Moussbaou, a well-known activist of the "International Campaign
against the Dictatorship in Togo and other African Countries" has
begun a hunger strike for an indefinite period. He has been
detained at the deportation prison Bützow (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern)
since December 2, 2005. On January 10, 2005, the first attempt to
deport Mr. Moussbaou from Hamburg Airport failed because the pilot
refused to take him on board.
Despìste the widespread protests, the urgent appeal by UNHCR to
reconsider his case, and the demand of the Congressional Petition
of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ("Petitionsauschuss des Landtangs"), you
continue to hold the position that Mr. Moussbaou will be deported.
Mr. Adzrakou fled Togo on political grounds as well and has
continues to participate in actions against the regime while in
exile. His life is also at risk.
Mr Adzrakou was detained on January 16, 2006 at the Foreigners'
Office Güstrow. His asylum case (second applicatoin /
Asylfolgeverfahren) was scheduled to be pled in front of the
Administrative Court of Schwerin on that same day. He inmediately
began a hunger strike and was therefore put into solitary
confinement.
Both refugees from the dictatorship in Togo had no choice but to go
on hunger strike. They are forced to risk their health and life in
order to defend themselves against the current violation of thein
rights as well as to defender their life. Given their political
activities in Togo as well as their activism in exile, both
refugees would face persecution if forced to return to Togo.
Torture, extrajudicial killing, and disapearances are part of the
daily repetoire of the RPT-Regime and their militia.
The human rights violation of deportation to the dictatorship in
Togo requieres resistance on the part of the asylum seeker. The
deportations to the dictatorship in Togo are criminal regardless of
the laws that are used to justify this practice. The crime of the
German fascists were also explained through laws. But would we
describe such practice as legitimate?
Mr Timm I call on you to urgently stop these deportations.
